When words fail, music speaks...but this time, I've spoken.
Don't you ask yourself, why is music so powerful? How can a singer on a stage control thousand of millions of people? Can these sound wave frequencies that enters the human hearing apparatus just like any other sound we hear on a daily basis, be much more profound than they really are? You can never know enough about music and how much of an impact it has on our actions and behaviors. It's just, an enormous chunk of my day to keep listening to tunes, coming in and out of my ears. Well, music doesn't get mad at you when you listen to another song, does it? obviously no, because it's not human. It never judges you, and will always be there in need, all because it's a sound of expression and composed with a heart.
Let's imagine life without music. Boring and dull isn't it? To the depressed, it's their way of reaching a piece of joy. To the broken hearted, it helps them mend their hearts. To the sick, it's their ultimate remedy because it makes their soul vivacious. To the lonely, it gives melody to their tedious world. To the fashionistas, it's their greatest style...and to the worshipers, it's their sweet way of praying and to the people from different walks of life, it's their life, it makes them alive and powerful. Songs are mostly written based on someone else's life, we have also gone through a lot of the same things in ours, that is why we connect to the music...but still, it's one of those things you can't really explain in words, it is more felt through body and soul.
You might talk to your friends about how sorrowful and gloomy you feel, how overbooked with problems you are, but they will never feel it. A few will probably help you solve them, but the majority are happy you're going through them. Then I remember that I am also a friend of someone else, I realize that I'm as bad as them. We make problems and run away, avoid them as much as we can because we can never hold ourselves straight while facing them. We all need a way out, out of the sadness we live, out of the crawling of our souls and out of the deep cold world we live in. We accuse the others, we blame the others and fault the others...why not blame ourselves? but no, we're too perfect to admit it aren't we? we're too proud and eye-blinded to acknowledge how wicked and face lifted we are. But then, comes music. It comes to put a smile on our faces, to stimulate the good mood that has dissipated above such sad souls...I find this absurd and puzzling, but then when I think about what its done to me, how it alters my mood and settles me, how it lifts or brings me down, how it instills anger, love, passion and hope...how it inspires and sometimes can give me the willing to keep going...all I can say is...thank you, thank you for being an experience, a vacation, a meditation ritual and more...a mental religion. I believe we were created through sounds. Our energy vibrates, I'm sure if we had really tiny ears we might hear other kind of sounds created by different kind of energies...what a wonderful thing you are, music. Having music means having a soul. So please, be immortal.
